At Kahen-Sei Martial Arts Academy, the safety and wellbeing of every student is our highest priority. As proud members of the British Martial Arts & Boxing Association (BMABA), we are fully committed to maintaining the highest standards of safeguarding, welfare, and conduct across all of our activities.

We believe that martial arts should be a positive, empowering, and inclusive experience for everyone—children, young people, and adults alike. To ensure this, we follow BMABA’s nationally recognised safeguarding frameworks and uphold all relevant UK legislation and guidance, including safer recruitment, instructor vetting, and ongoing welfare training.

• Maintaining clear safeguarding policies and procedures, aligned with BMABA’s standards and best practice.
• Ensuring all instructors and volunteers are appropriately vetted, including enhanced DBS checks where required.
• Providing regular safeguarding training for instructors, assistants, and welfare personnel.
• Responding promptly and appropriately to any concerns, disclosures, or allegations.
• Promoting a culture of openness, where students and parents feel confident to speak up about any worries.
• Championing inclusivity, ensuring our club is welcoming and accessible to people of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities.
